About

What Modern Minuteman is, where it came from, and who's behind it.

01 Scope & Guardrails

What We Do and Don't Do

  • Lawful civic resilience only. No security services, no partisan operations, no clandestine activity.
  • Attention is a commons. No global chat. Async communication through AARs and scheduling only.
  • Stop conditions. Lack of consent, safety risk, or mission creep → halt, log, escalate.
02 The Name

The original minutemen were civilian colonists who independently organized to be ready at a minute's notice. They weren't professional soldiers. They were farmers, tradespeople, fathers — people with lives and responsibilities who took it upon themselves to be capable of acting when it mattered.

Modern Minuteman updates this for contemporary conditions. The threats are different — attention capture, narrative manipulation, institutional decay, atomization — but the response is the same: ordinary people taking responsibility for their own readiness and organizing with others who do the same.

03 The Problem

Most people today are vulnerable to involuntary recruitment. Their attention is captured. Their worldview is shaped by whoever controls the information environment. When crises come, they react rather than respond — pulled into movements and causes that don't serve their actual interests.

This isn't stupidity or weakness. It's the default condition when you haven't done the work to establish:

  • Sovereignty over your own attention and direction

  • A clear understanding of your own interests and values

  • Connections with others who share your commitments

  • Practical capability to act on what you know

04 The Solution

Modern Minuteman is a structure for doing that work. Not a course you complete and forget. Not content to consume. A membership organization with an ongoing rhythm:

Weekly accountability. Peer support. Practical skills. Guest instructors who've done the work. A body of people who take this seriously.

The goal is to become a capable civic operator — someone who can articulate and pursue their interests, resist manipulation, and contribute to collective action when it matters.
